This photograph shows many trays of pitted apricot halves,drying in the sun, after coming from the sulphur houses. The apricots would remain exposed to the air and sun for five to seven days.
The apricot trays in this photograph, are east of Center Street, between Church and Main Street, Piru The large two story house, shown in the photograph on the right, is at the corner of Center and Church Street.
The photograph was taken around 1910.
